HUNTING GROUND “KAPETANSKI RIT” – Kanjiža

The Hunting Association “Kapetanski rit”,is located in Kanjiža, and managed by the Hunting Association “Kapetanski rit “, spreading on the total area of 39 856 ha, of which hunting area covers 32,650 ha.


The association has 381 active members.


Constantly cultivated species of wildlife in the hunting area are deer, hare, pheasant and gray partridge, and common quail.


The “Kapetanski rit” hunting ground has the following hunting facilities:



  • 13 stabile hunting blinds,

  • 6 tree-hunting blinds,

  • 98 feeding-points for large game,

  • 270 feeding-points for pheasant chicken,

  • 7 water – places

  • 138 salt-licks

  • 10 pheasant shelters

  •  covering the area of 8,05 hectares.


The Association has pheasant farm, 4 hunting lodges with total usable surface area of 630 m2, hunting house total surface area of 40 m2, 40 ha of land and 28 ha of perennial coverts.


There is also a manager of hunting area, an expert and two full-time employed gamekeepers, assisted by 29 volunteers gamekeepers.


Hunting tourism has been developed, particularly spring hunting of roebuck, summer hunting of doves, ring-necked pigeon and quail and autumn hunting of pheasants.
