One of the most beautiful stories about the preparation of fresh fish specialties is being told every day in Carda (Tavern) “Kod Brase“ (At Brasa’s) situated by the Danube, 2 km from Begec village and in the vicinity of Novi Sad. This enchanting Carda provides memorable enjoyment of the best cooked and fried fish. It is the most attractive during spring, summer, and autumn because the guests can enjoy themselves on the terraces. Carda offers the specialties you are not likely to find anywhere else.
Redfish broth with the taste of fish and tomato made without the usual ingredient – red ground paprika, is the reason why visitors return to this Carda. We offer a great variety of top-class fried fish, such as carp, pikeperch, sterlet, catfish, and pike. In the moments of inspiration, the owner of Carda turns less famous sorts of fish, such as bream, rudd, white bream, and barbel, into exceptional and delicious meals. In the ambiance of the wonderful nature and fragrance of fish, during lunch and dinner, the guests are entertained by tamburitza bands. This is one of the rare cardas with a well-kept playground.
Carda is situated near the road that leads to the moorings of the ferry that carries people to Banostor, a village on the right Srem bank of the Danube. This is the shortest road between Backa Palanka and Sremska Mitrovica. Carda has a hall with a capacity of 80 seats and two terraces that hold 150 people. There are four double rooms in the attic of Carda at the disposal of the guests. Tamburitza bands play regularly. There is also a car park for 50 vehicles and moorings for boats. Payment can be arranged by Credit Card.
