Futog is often rightly referred to as the “cabbage capital”. Thanks to this vegetable, Futog has become known far beyond the country’s borders.
As part of the event, the Gathering of Producers of Traditional Serbian Products is also held. Its aim is to promote producers of traditional products, highlight the importance of preserving traditional crafts, and revive the once-famous Futog fair.
The event is a long-standing tradition, with competitions held every year for the preparation of cabbage dishes and for selecting the heaviest head of cabbage, accompanied by a rich programme of cultural and entertainment activities.
