GOLDEN CAULDRON OF VOJVODINA – Silbaš

Silbaš, 10 October 2026 – The park in Silbaš will be the meeting place on Saturday, 10 October, for lovers of traditional fish dishes and competitive cooking. The “Golden Cauldron of Vojvodina” is a gastronomic and tourism event organised this year by the “Ovca Fest” Association from Silbaš, with the support of the Vojvodina Tourism Organisation.

The event will bring together competing teams nominated by municipal tourism organisations, showcasing their local communities through traditional flavours and fish-cooking skills.

The programme begins at noon with the gathering of teams and registration of competitors, while the official opening ceremony will take place at 12.30 pm.

The competition will focus on the preparation of two traditional fish dishes. From 1 pm to 2.30 pm, the teams will prepare fish paprikash, with samples to be submitted for judging no later than 2.45 pm. This will be followed by the preparation of fish soup from 2 pm to 3.30 pm, with samples to be submitted by 3.45 pm.

A panel of expert judges will select the best-prepared dishes, followed by the awards ceremony, which will take place from 5 pm to 5.30 pm.
