Carda (Tavern) ``Aqua Doria`` is one of the most attractive places in Novi Sad where one can have lunch or dinner. It is situated on the right bank of the Danube, on the edge of Novi Sad and at the entrance of Petrovaradin, but, actually, in the center of both of them. Carda is located below the Fortress of Petrovaradin. We wish you a warm welcome on the deck of a ship anchored near the Varadin Bridge. A canopy on the shore just above water is opened during summer and it represents an alluring terrace, while during winter it is enclosed.
For only two years, ``Aqua Doria`` has attracted visitors with diverse tastes from the country and abroad. Since it is situated on the bank of the Danube, it was designed to be a fish carda. Besides the common dishes made of river fish, we also offer the unusual specialties for this part of the Danube, such as carp on forks and fish ``perkelt`` (a type of Hungarian stew) made of catfish without bones. Carda offers international dishes, as well. The entire offer is enhanced with top-class domestic and foreign beverages.
During the summer, the vicinity and coolness of the Danube water attract the visitors, as well as, a beautiful view of the citadel of the Fortress, the attractive arch of the Varadin Bridge, and Novi Sad that stretches on the left river bank. During the winter, Carda is cushioned with logs of red willow and poplar, while the interior is heated with an old-style stove made of bricks. ``Aqua Doria`` is visited by distinguished persons from political, business, sports, and artistic spheres and a growing number of foreigners from all over the world.
Carda can attend 180 visitors altogether. There is a car park for 20 vehicles and a marina for boats and yachts. Tamburitza bands play every day except Monday. Payment can be arranged by Visa Card, Dina Card, Master Card, and American Express.
