A Field Tour of Bačka Topola and Its Tourist Offer

At the invitation of our colleagues from the Bačka Topola Tourism Organisation, representatives of the Tourism Organisation of Vojvodina visited the municipality of Bačka Topola on 13 September 2026 to explore its tourism potential and experience its diverse attractions first-hand.

The visit began outside the TSC Stadium, where we attended the Pál Skenderović Memorial Race. This sporting event honours an important figure in the local sporting history and brings together participants and visitors of all generations.

We then visited the TSC Arena, a modern sports complex with considerable potential for the development of sports tourism in Bačka Topola. The tour continued with a visit to the Catholic Church of the Visitation of the Blessed Virgin Mary, one of the town’s notable cultural and historical landmarks, as well as the recently opened Venus Swimming Pool Complex, which has added new opportunities for sport, recreation and wellness. We also visited the Local Heritage House, a fine example of traditional Pannonian architecture and a place dedicated to preserving the local cultural and ethnological heritage.

One of the highlights of the programme was the Zobnatica Equestrian Games at the Zobnatica Racecourse. This long-standing event celebrates equestrian sport and highlights the area’s rich horse-breeding tradition. We also had the opportunity to discover the Zobnatica Stud Farm, one of the oldest stud farms in Serbia, established in 1779, and learn more about the opportunities the complex offers for active, sports and excursion tourism.

The field visit concluded with stops at Zobnatica Lake and the Bačka Topola Windmill, showcasing the area’s potential for recreational, excursion and cultural tourism. The visit also provided an opportunity to exchange experiences and discuss the existing tourist offer with colleagues from the Bačka Topola Tourism Organisation, as well as possibilities for its further development and the importance of cooperation in promoting Vojvodina’s tourism potential.
