THE CHURCH OF ST. NICHOLAS – Kikinda

In 1769, on the place of old church made of reed, the new Serbian Orthodox Church dedicated to Holy Father Nikolai was built. It was built in a classicistic style. The iconostasis was painted by Teodor Ilić Češljar, in 1773. He is also the author of two precious wall paintings: “Voznesenje Hristovo” in the south and “Tajna večera” in the north part of the church.
