THE CULTURAL CENTER – Kikinda

The cultural centre Kikinda, as the institution of the big value for the city in the cultural scene, was founded for:

–          Preparation and realization of cultural, educational and entertaining programs
–          The activities which are not organized in the other institutions specially made
for that activities
–          Stimulus and promotion of creating
–          Support in preparation and realization of projects and activities
–          Organizing the manifestations, concerts, exhibitions, speaker`s platforms,
seminars…
–          Coordination with other institutions in organizing cultural activities

The activities of the cultural centre in Kikinda are:

–          Art and literature creating
–          Publishing of books, brochures, magazines, musical issues and other publications
–          Scene art
–          Gallery activities
–          Alternative education
–          Advertising and propaganda activities

The most significant programs which are done by cultural centre in Kikinda are publishing the literature magazine “The North Bunker”, children magazine “ Kikindijanci” and monthly issued cultural magazine “ Kikinda cultural guide”, organization of international musical festival “ Refuse/Resist” and yearly organized guitar festival “ Ki- Rock”, organization of children manifestations “ Zmaj`s Children Games” and “ Greetings to the Spring”, organization of the underwater festival, giving the awards for literature and art “ Miroslav Antić” etc.

Beside the separate section of the Lower ballet school from Novi Sad and Youth office of Kikinda, in the cultural centre work, using the materials without the fee: two Gipsy dance groups, German society “ Kikinda”, literature club “ Duško Trifunović“, climbing society “ Kinđa”, children theatre “ Lane”, drama club of the Grammar school, free schools of Norwegian, Hungarian and German languages etc.
