Bac
The Bač municipality is situated in the south-west part of the spacious Pannonian plain or the south-west Bačka. It covers an area of 367 square kilometers and encompasses 6 settlements (Bač, Bačko Novo Selo, Plavna, Vajska, Bođani, and Selenča) which, all together, have approximately 13.265 inhabitants.
The Bač municipality is a border municipality. Its western border is the Danube, the biggest Mid-European river. The length of the Danube bank in the municipality is 43 km. Bač is situated between Bačka Palanka, and Odžaci, while on the opposite bank is the Croatian town called Vukovar. The part of the Danube-Tisa-Danube canal also runs through Bač.
The municipality’s terrain is mainly plain, intersected by smaller waterways. Bač is 62 km from Novi Sad, 140 km from Belgrade, and 120 km from Subotica.
