First Partner Meeting of the AIpromTOUR Project Held

The first partner meeting within the AIpromTOUR project (AI as a Boost for CBC Tourism Destination) was held on April 29, 2026, at the Tourist Information Centre of the Tourism Organization of Vojvodina in Novi Sad.

The meeting brought together representatives of all project partners – the Tourism Organization of Vojvodina (Lead Partner), the Croatian National Tourist Board, the Tourist Board of Vukovar-Srijem County, and the Danube Competence Center. Representatives of the Vukovar-Srijem County Development Agency also attended the meeting.

During the meeting, key project objectives, expected results, and the overall implementation structure were presented, with a particular focus on the roles of project partners and planned activities for the upcoming period. Administrative and financial aspects of project implementation were also discussed, along with reporting obligations under the Interreg VI-A IPA Cross-Border Cooperation Programme Croatia–Serbia.

The discussion focused on activities to be implemented in the first phase of the project, including the organization of the opening conference, as well as planning project visibility and communication in line with programme requirements. Special attention was given to the further development of the joint tourism product, which will connect the areas of Fruška Gora and Ilok through eno-gastronomy and active tourism offers, supported by modern digital solutions.

The AIpromTOUR project aims to enhance the sustainable development of tourism in the cross-border area of Serbia and Croatia through the application of innovative tools based on artificial intelligence. The focus is on the development and implementation of AI technologies in marketing, data analysis, and the improvement of user experience, as well as on the creation of a joint strategic framework for their application in tourism.

Through the project, efforts will be made to improve and promote the joint tourism offer, strengthen the capacities of tourism stakeholders, and develop new products that contribute to greater visibility and competitiveness of the region. Particular emphasis is placed on the use of digital tools that enable a better understanding of modern tourists’ needs and more efficient destination management.

The project is implemented within the Interreg VI-A IPA Cross-Border Cooperation Programme Croatia–Serbia, in the period from February 1, 2026 to January 31, 2028.

By holding the first partner meeting, a strong foundation has been established for the successful implementation of the project and continued cooperation among partners in developing an innovative and sustainable tourism offer in the region.
