THE CULTURAL CENTRE “SIRMIUMART” – Sremska Mitrovica

The cultural centre “SIRMIUMART” was found in 1972. as the cultural institution which joined poetical and musical activities which existed separately in Sremska Mitrovica.


The main purpose of “SIRMIUMART” is organizing and development of musical, scenes and poetical work of young organizational units, giving the expert and technical favors for realizing the programs of development of cultural and art creativity and fun life, organizing the concerts of guest performers and programs of their own production, organizing the literal evenings, publishing activities…


Today  in “SIRMIUMART” work  about 300 amateurs in many organizing units: folk assemble “Branko Radičević”, recital studio “Kaliopa”, tamburitza orchestra “Srem” and national orchestra. In the centre there are the synthesizer school and drama children studio “Ars”.


All organizational units enter the reviews and festivals where they achieve magnificent results and they have won many awards.


The employees are very qualified and they are satisfying the program needs of the centre. From 12 employed workers in the expert work equally participate: manager, editor of the program, the leaders of organizational units and technical workers.


During the whole year the center for the culture “SIRMIUMART” with it’s programs is one of the most important  subjects of cultural life of the city. Apart from the continuing work with the children and young amateurs, finishing the programs and marking of important events and dates in the city, we organize many concerts, too. As the part of our work we organize the art exhibitions, literal meetings and musical-poetic evenings.
