With the aim of strengthening cooperation and exchanging experiences in the field of tourism development and the promotion of Vojvodina’s tourism offer, a study visit to the Tourism Organisation of Bač Municipality was organized on 21 July.
The first part of the visit was dedicated to discussions with representatives of the Tourism Organisation of Bač Municipality. A working meeting was held at the Tourist Information Centre of the Bač Tourist Organisation, during which experiences and ideas for further improvement of the tourism offer were exchanged. Milivoj Kovačević, Acting Director of the Tourism Organisation of Vojvodina, and Branka Mandić, Acting Director of the Tourism Organisation of Bač Municipality, together with their colleagues, discussed current challenges, opportunities for creating new tourism products, as well as the importance of joint promotion aimed at increasing the visibility of this destination.
Following the meeting, a tour of the most significant cultural-historical and natural sites of Bač Municipality was organized. The participants visited the Franciscan Monastery, the remains of the Turkish Bath, the Šiljak City Gate, Bač Fortress, Provala Lake, and Bođani Monastery, with the aim of gaining insight into the rich heritage of this area, the existing visitor facilities, and opportunities for their further tourism valorisation.
Bač, with its unique blend of cultural heritage, spirituality, and natural values, represents an important part of Vojvodina’s tourism offer. Such study visits enable direct exchange of knowledge and experience, stronger connections with local partners, and joint identification of new opportunities for the development and promotion of destinations.
