”GOSPOJINA 2026” festival presents its programme

The rich and diverse program for the traditional “Gospojina 2026” festival, which is going to take place in Novi Bečej from August 27 to 30, was officially presented today, July 30, at the Information Centre of the Tourism Organisation of Vojvodina.

The presentation opened with remarks by Danilo Gurjanov, the festival’s PR representative, who spoke about the significance of “Gospojina”, its long-standing tradition, and this year’s extensive program. He emphasized that the event offers a wide variety of activities designed to appeal to visitors of all ages, from the youngest to the oldest generations.

On behalf of the Tourism Organization of Vojvodina, Jelena Malešev addressed the audience, reminding everyone present that “Gospojina” is the recipient of the prestigious “The Best of Vojvodina” award. She congratulated the organizers on their continuous efforts to improve the festival and wished them another successful edition, expressing hope that it would attract an even greater number of visitors to Novi Bečej and Vojvodina.

Saša Dujin, Director of the Tourism Organization of the Municipality of Novi Bečej, presented the highlights of this year’s program. He announced the Craft Beer Street, the Gospojina Cauldron Cooking Competition, the Ethno Bazaar, as well as evening concerts that will take place throughout all four days of the festival. Dujin stressed that the organizers’ primary goal is to ensure that every visitor enjoys a memorable experience in the unique setting along the Tisa River, describing “Gospojina” as the most important event of summer season in Novi Bečej.

The conference concluded with an address by Stojan Mesaroš, Artistic Director of the Novi Bečej Tamburitza Orchestra. He expressed his great honor and pleasure that the orchestra would have the privilege of officially opening this year’s festival. The ceremonial opening is scheduled for August 28 at 6:00 p.m. on the Tisa River Quay, where the orchestra’s concert will mark the official beginning of “Gospojina 2026.”
