SPA VRDNIK “TERMAL” – Vrdnik

The creation and development of a spa-sanatorium in Vrdnik is a positive consequence of the finding of thermal water of constant temperature of 32,8°C in the black coal mine. After operating for 164 years, the mine was closed in 1968 due to flooding of the adit with mineral water.

The first patients of spa-sanatorium Vrdnik were the miners who experienced the beneficial effects of thermal water back in 19. Century by submerging their feet in the warm, green water whose features had positive effects on rheumatism. The contemporary development of the spa-sanatorium starts with the construction of high quality, functional accommodation and hospital capacities, with open and enclosed pools, along with necessary infrastructure. In 1997, the institution gets the status of a spa, and Vrdnik becomes a tourist location.

Today, the Special Rehabilitation Hospital Termal possesses contemporary equipment and professional staff: specialists in physical medicine and rehabilitation, acupuncture, physiotherapists and nurses

The Special Rehabilitation Hospital Termal possesses 96 rooms: 6 single rooms, 18 double rooms, 68 three-bed rooms and 4 two-bed suites. Every room has a bathroom, telephone, cable TV. Mansard rooms have air conditioning.

The hotel has two restaurants and a bar.

This is a multi-structure hotel. The part of the hotel that is within the special hospital offers 60 beds.

The conference room has the capacity of 500 seats with adequate technical and audio equipment.
