EXCURSION IN NATURE – Odžaci

The unexamined plain cut by canals, lakes and marshes is ideal for walking and spending time in nature. The  marsh of Bogojevo is the natural continuation of  natural farm Gornje Podunavlje, making a unique ecological part. It consists of well-cared complex of water and swamp ecosystems  which held their own origin and autohtenous. There are Papić lake, Zadružna swamp, Holcer swamp and Crna swamp. The complex of swamps is connected with the nearby local swamps vegetation (cane and shrubbery), woods of white willow and white poplar and with the system of drain canals. There was found large number of protected animal and plant species, as well as natural wealth (yellow water lily, white water lily, water nut, red heron, black duck, swamp turtle) and a large number of rare relict species which show that the ecosystem is well-cared and  which remained of the old swamps of Podunavlje. This part is adequate for different recreative activities, ecology lessons, taking of photos or just enjoying the nature. Untouched nature of this countryside will leave you breathless.

Bicycle route “Euro velo 6”

Each of these nature parts is not connected only with Danube but also by bicycle paths. Trans-European bicycle route “Euro velo 6” on it’s way from The Atlantic to The  Black Sea goes through the Odžaci region cutting it into the beautiful corners. Apart from getting familiar to the beautiful nature of this huge plain, tourist get a chance to meet area of Odžaci on it’s own way, with a lot of domestic meals, tamburitza orchestra, night outgoings and local manifestations.
