The temple of the Serbian Orthodox church the Big Assumption in Crepaja is dedicated to the Rising of Holy Mother of God. The building of this temple lasted for more than twenty years. The building length was conditioned because the bricks for the temple were taken from Temišvar. In 1835., the building of tower was finished as well as the temple itself. The temple was sanctified in the same year.
The iconostasis was painted by the famous icon painter Jovan Popović.
At the end of 18th century near Crepaja as we know it today was found the mineral water spring and soon it became very famous in the area specially because it could cure the eye illnesses.
The curable and efficient water soon became very famous so at the beginning of the 19th century there was built the shelter, forerunner of today`s hospitals where the sick people were cured, stayed and slept for some days. In about 1828., at this place was built the church called Vodice which was dedicated to the St. Kozma and Damjan.
In 2005 this church was renovated. The citizens even today use the water from this church for the healing. Its characteristic is that it can never perish, even after a long time keeping. Its curability, chemical and mineral content, are the research theme.
