THE RUTHENIAN NATIONAL THEATRE “PETRO RIZNIČ ÐAÐA” – Ruski Krstur

The Ruthenian National Theatre “Đađa” was established as the Amateur Ruthenian theatre “Đađa” in 1971. with two stages: the stage in Ruski Krstur and the stage in Novi Sad. It was working under that name till 1991., when it changes its name to Ruthenian theatre “Đađa”. In 2003. the theatre is transformed into professional and it presented more than 15 professional performances and it is about to release the 18th project.

On its stages, the theatre takes care about the content, from classical plays to folk dramas and experiments, the chamber and puppet theatre, depending on work conditions. In the past times, for forty years of work, there were performed the works of world`s classics to home drama and comedy. In about 120 performed premiers were: Molier, Brecht, Gogolj, Nušić, Sremac, Čehov, Koljada, Papharhaji, Udovički, Kovač, Ostrovski, Kanjuh and many others. There were also 3200 replays which were seen by more than 400.000 viewers.

Last year we celebrated forty years that the Ruthenian National Theatre exists.
