CASTLE “MARČIBANJI” – Čoka
The castle was built by the family Marčibanji, after 1781., When Lerinc Marčibanji has bought the desert Čoka.The building of the castle was finished by the next owner, Švab Karolj, about 1870. Artur and Karolj Lederer bought this property at the end of the XIX century. This family, one of the richest Jewish families at that time, owned this property till the Second World War. During the Second World War for some time it was owned by occupiers. After the war in 1950. there was found the agricultural field “Čoka” which even today uses the castle as the headquarter building. The building is in a very good state. The castle is the monument of culture of the big importance.
The castle is not open for the visitors!
