THE ORTHODOX CHURCH - Veliki Gaj

Veliki Gaj, one of the oldest settlers which existed constantly, has a lot of monuments of the past. On December, 1^st 1965. 13 icons with the emperor`s gate were put under the protection and they belong to the Serbian orthodox church which is as itself considered to be the architectonic value. That are: The Mother of God with the Christ, from 1773., St. Nikola, Jesus Christ, Jovan the Baptizer, the Emperor Gate, the icon with the life of St. Nikola, The Crucifixion of Christ, Apostles Petar and Pavle, Archangels Mihajlo and Gavrilo, The Birth of the Mother of God, Jesus Christ and the Mother of God with the Christ.

In the same church there is also the Octoechos (Oktoih), printed in 1644., in Lavovo and one Chronology, printed in Lavovo in 1692., where is also an impossible to read note from 1696.
