The bedrock of this church was done in 1867, and in 1872 the new bell tower was built. In 1872 the church was blessed on the day of St. Peter and St. Paul, to whom it was deducted as well. It was built as a one-nave building oriented in the direction north-south. On the north side there is a hemi-spherical alter apse, while the belfry arises above the south side. On the west side there is a built-on sacristy. The main altar is a triform one with the altar piece of St. Peter in the middle and standing statues of saints in tabernacles on the left and on the right side. The altar piece of St. Peter and the standing statues of saints were made in the 19th century. With the help of Count Pejačević the main altar of the church was built according to the plan made by the sculptor Vankas from Sarajevo in 1886. The painting of the interior was done by the decorator from Ðakova. On the church tower there is a clock, and inside the church there is the organ.

The church was thoroughly restored in 1968. In 1997 the building of the parsonage, both chapels in the yard of the church, the wall and the fence towards the street, as well as the paths to the entrances of the church were built. In the lobby of the parsonage the paintings of „Four Seasons“ were painted.

The church was put under the legal protection in 1977, and since 1991 it has been characterized as a cultural monument of great significance. The style: sacral architecture from the second half of the 19th century.
