THE FRUSKA GORA WINE WALK “WALK & WINE 2023“ - A SUCCESS

The Tourism Organization of Vojvodina (TOV) successfully organized the Fruška Gora wine walk “Fruška WALK & WINE 2023“ on Sunday, August 27. Along the 7.6 kilometers long circular walking route, wine and viticulture lovers had the opportunity to taste the top wines of Fruška Gora winemakers at four tasting points as well as enjoy the tastes of local specialties.

The inspiring walk through the vineyards of the Fruška Gora started at the Fisherman's Square in Irig, where the welcome desk was located, where participants picked up their starter packs. Before the start of the walk, visitors had the opportunity to enjoy a welcome coffee from the Small Coffee Workshop and capture unforgettable moments in the photo booth. The photo op and music performance marked the the very end of the walk as well. 

Tours were organized every half hour, and the participants of the walk were accompanied by tourist guides.

At each of the stands, visitors to the event "Fruška Walk & Wine 2023" had the opportunity to taste authentic wines, try gastronomic specialties and enjoy a varied music performances. At one of the stands, a traditional welcome was prepared for the visitor by a pudar - a guardian of the vineyard and grapes.

After the walk, at the starting point - and at the same time the end point - the Irig Fishermen's Square, the visitors had the opportunity to select and purchase authentic local wines they tasted at the four points during the hedonistic walk. La Banda performance was the musical backdrop of the event.

The President of the Provincial Government - Igor Mirović, together with the delegation, participated in the first Fruška Gora wine walk. On that occasion, he emphasized the importance of this kind of event for Irig, Srem and the entire country, as well as for the development of religious and wine tourism. 

The event organizer is the Tourism Organization of Vojvodina, with the support of the Provincial Government, Ministry of Tourism and Youth, the Municipality of Irig, the Fruška Gora National Park, the Association of Grape and Wine Producers with the appellation of origin "Srem - Fruška Gora“, the Guarantee Fund of AP Vojvodina and the Development Fund of Vojvodina.
