The church was built in 1822., in classical style.
It is the one nave building of long base, harmonious proportions, with parvis, central part of the curch and a big altar space which is half – circled inside, and outside polygonal and U- turn curved. The central part of the front is with a shallow risalto which is marked by two pairs of Tosca polastars above which is triangle kettledrum. Above the entrance of the temple there is half – circled window. Barely curved caclans are marked with modest acroterias, and in the centre is the tower of a big dimension. On every part of it are half – circled window with blinds, and under the multiple – profiled roof wreath of the belfry are watches on all four sides. The belfry cap is covered with sheet metal, and with four – arch wings the belfry is connected with the corpus of the building. On the side facade are four windows on each, with segmental ending, put into multi – profiled niches, covered by casseted arch and divided by Tosca pilastars. In the centre of apse wall there is one window, also with segment arch. Beside the entrance on the west side of the temple, the entrances are also on the north and south facade. Both entrances are emphasized by Tosca pilastars, and triangle gable which were built in 1908. as was written on the gable above the door. The only decorative elements are shallow, plane profilations in archvalts of side niches on the side entrances also. On the attic is slowly profiled plane wreath which lean on a half- capitols of pilasters, and above it, along the whole attic line runs the row of triglifs and floral motifs put into the parts of methope. The inside space is divided into four aisles with emphasized pilastars. The roof of the church is covered with pepper tiles. In the church is high classical style made iconostasis. The icons were painted by Nikola Aleksić in 1839. There are 58 icons on the iconostasis divided into four zones. The icons are painted by oil colors on the wooden surface. On the Mother of God Throne are two icons, The Mother of God on the Throne and Escaping to Egypt and on Archbishops Throne there is the icon St. Nikola.
On the vaults are paintings from 1908., work of an unknown author, but probably under this paintings are older one which are probably also work of Nikola Aleksić, as well as the paintings on the side walls, which were repaired, but they mainly saved the originality. On the vault above the soley is the god Savaot. In the long aisle are evangelists, and in the middle the Holy Trinity. In the third aisle was the representation of the Christ who blesses five breads and two fish and the Rising of Lazar, and in the fourth part are Lot and his daughters. In 1986/87. while the church was renovated without the expert work in the third and fourth aisles the paintings were painted. On the north temple wall the painter painted two scenes: The Return of Jakov and The Stoning of St. Stefan. On the south wall are scenes: The Avram`s Sacrificing and the Christ Saves the Apostles at the Sea. On the choir balcony there are: The Christ and Marija Magdalena and Christ`s Representation to Nikodim. The Serbian Orthodox church of St. Archangel Mihailo and Gavrilo in Banatski Aranđelovac, with its monumental dimensions, but planed and simple architecture belong to typical example church building in the first half of the XIX century in Vojvodina and is marked by classical style.
