A couple of hundreds of meters away from the southern graveyard entrance on the right side of the main graveyard arboreta walk, the youngest son of Gedeon, Lazar – Laza built a church in honor of his father. As a great patriot and the connoisseur of the suffering history of his people, Laza Dunđerski knew that the Serbian kept the faces and memories of their rulers on the walls of their monasteries, since the beginnings of existence of the country. This contributed to conservation of our national consciousness. This historical fact, as well as the memory of his beloved and respected father, was the reasons and the abetment to build this prominent monument. In the crypt of this church Gedeon and his descendants were buried. The Church of St. George was built in 1884. It has one tower. It is 15 meters long and eight meters wide. Above the entrance to the church there is a fresco of St. George and a memorial plaque with the following text: “1807-1881. Inspired by the belief of my ancestors, corroborated by the blessing of Vasalian Petrović, the Archbishop of Bačka, I built this holy temple for the eternal orthodox religion, on the grave of my never forgotten father Gedeona Dunđerski, the former modest farmer and the knight of the Franc Josef’s order, as well as a symbol of my son love and eternal benevolence. In Sentomaš, on 8th September 1884, Lazar Dunđerski, the son with his wife Sofija, born Đorđević“. The iconostasis of the church is well preserved. It was painted by the famous Serbian painter Stevan Todorović, in 1885. On the gate to the alter septum “Blagovesti” were painted. Next to the gate on the right side Jesus Christ was painted, and on the left side Virgin Mary. To the north from the gate Archangel Stefan was painted, and to the south from the gate Archangel Mihailo. Above this row, on the right there is The Epiphany and The Medium, and on the left there is The Birth of Jesus Christand The Presentation. In the middle The Resurrection was painted. The iconostasis at the top finishes with The Crucifixion, on the left there is Virgin Mary and on the right St. John.
