The gallery of tapestry and work shop for the tapestries "Atelier 61" were found in 1961. on the initiative of Novi Sad’s painter Boško Petrović (1922-1982). In the attractive exhibition space of Leopold’s bastion from the beginning of XVIII century, on the plateau of Petrovaradin fortress to the Danube, you can see the tapestries made in the work shop "Atelier 61", according to the sketches of our famous painters of the second half of XX century- Boško Petrović, Đorđe Tabaković, Edo Murtić, Milan Konjović, Stevan Maksimović, Jagoda Bujić, Stojan Ćelić, Mladen Srbinović, Layar Vujaklija, Boško Karanović and other artists who were working on tapestry as it was little bit  forgotten among the artists.  The collection of it’s tapestries "Atelier 61" has exhibited  at many manifestations in Serbia as well as abroad. In the work shop were made more than 700 unique tapestries, and 200 of them are gathered in the collection. The gallery of tapestry organizes independent exhibitions of artists who work in this old art technique as well as "The Yugoslavian colony of tapestry artists Boško Petrović" ( since 1998.) and "The triennial of tapestry" (since 2001.).

For the 40th anniversary of founding the "Atelier 61" in 2002. the monograph of these unique institution in the country was published. The work shop of the "Atelier 61" is opened for public and this is the only place where people can see the process of making these artistic tapestries.
