SYNAGOGUE - Novi Sad

Synagogue with the church parish and the former Jewish school is situated in Jewish Street. It was built in 1909, in the style of Hungarian secession, according to the project of a Pest architect Lipot Baumhorn, and all three buildings form a harmonious architectural unity. Above the door of the synagogue, high in the vault, there is a Hebrew inscription, the seventh verse from 56th chapter of the prophet book of Isaia: ...since my home will be called the home of all peoples....

Today, this magnificent building represents the most important concert hall in Novi Sad.
