Between the streets, which are now known as Arčibald Rajs and Kosta Nađ streets is situated the old church of The Raise of St. Christ. Before the whole Petrovaradin, or to be precise after the coming of Jesus order and building of the church and monastery of St. Jurje in down city of Petrovaradin, was under the same parish. It was ruled by Jesus order until 1777. when other two parishes were established, the parish of the Raise of St. Christ and of St. Rock.
At the same place in 1812. was built the new church as we know today. On the church, on the left and right of the door there are two sculptures of St. Jeronimo set in 1925.
