MONASTERY VOJLOVICA - Vojlovica

Vojlovica Monastery is located northeast of Pančevo within Oil Refinery "Pančevo ", about 5.5 km towards Starčevo, and 4 km from the confluence of the Tamiš river into the Danube. According to tradition, it was built in 1393. The monastery was repeatedly burned and rebuilt. Its base belongs to the Raška School. It is mentioned in many early documents, and it is one of the oldest archaeological monuments in Pančevo.
