The Tourism Organization of Vojvodina (TOV) will organize the Fruška gora wine walk "Fruška Walk&Wine 2023" on Sunday, August 27. Along the 7.6 kilometers long circular walking route, wine lovers will have the opportunity to taste the top wines of Fruška gora winemakers at four tasting points as well as enjoy the flavors of local specialties.

An inspiring walk through the vineyards of Fruška gora starts on Sunday, August 27, from the Fishermen’s Square (Serbian: Ribarski trg) in Irig, and tours are organized every half hour, starting at 10 a.m. The walkers and wine lovers will be greeted at the welcome desk, where they will pick up a start package with a wine tasting glass and a bag, a route map, refreshments and a complimentary souvenir. Walks are planned in groups of 50 visitors with a guide, and the departure is every 30 minutes. 

Walking along the route of the Fruška gora wine walk, the visitors will pass by the urban part of Irig, the picturesque Srem settlement, the Novo Hopovo Monastery, Irig vineyards, Fruška gora farms, a natural spring from the time of Maria Theresa, and return to the Fishermen’s Square through the churchyard of the church of St. Nicholas. 

 After the walk, at the starting point - and at the same time the end point - the Irig Fishermen's Square, the visitors will be able to select and purchase authentic local wines they tasted at the four points during the hedonistic walk.  

 The event organizer is the Tourism Organization of Vojvodina, with the support of the Provincial Government, Ministry of Tourism and Youth, the Municipality of Irig, the Association of Grape and Wine Producers with the appellation of origin "Srem - Fruška gora", the Guarantee Fund of AP Vojvodina and the Development Fund of Vojvodina.
