ZOO ''Mickey'' is located in the village Kolut, between Bezdan and Bački Breg, twenty miles north of Sombor. It was established in 1988 as the first private ZOO in the country. The ZOO owned by Milan Mirić, spreading on the area of seven and a half acres of woods, lawns and a dozen artificial lakes, has more than 100 animal species from all round the world. There you can see two types of flamingos (common and dwarf) and rare birds secretaries that scientists still do not know whether to classify them in birds- runners or vultures. The zoo attracts attention using bustard, Livingstone’s turaco ,Orinoco goose, white and black swans, pythons, monkeys, donkeys, ponies, squirrels, roe deer, bears. And when the sun shines through green garden the ZOO is visited by children from Sombor and its surroundings as well as the experts - ornithologists and the travelers.
