Winery “Vinartos” is located in Becej in the Central Potiska river wine-growing region.
Vinartos Winery is a small family winery that is a combination of modern and traditional, where top wines are produced from our own orchards.
The location of the vineyard is in a stretch called “Medena duž” and is surrounded on two sides by the old and the new course of the river Tisa. The name “Medena duž” alone best expresses the characteristics of the location, which originated from the many years of experience of the natives of Bečej.
From ancient times to the present day, the suitable and specific climate of “Medene duži” in this area has encouraged the development of winemaking and the habit of enjoying wine.
On the surface, the most common sand is interspersed with parts of clay-rich in specific minerals. At the extreme depth reached by the root of the vine, there is sand with higher clay content. It is the location in the interfluve of the two river valleys, of excellent airiness, with lower average daily vegetation temperatures and fresh night temperatures that give exceptional varietal authenticity. This specificity helps the grape varieties in our plantations to show a specific gentle character and an extremely strong fragrant note.
