When you start from Zrenjanin to Vršac and reach Konak , hundred meters before the bridge on Brzava river on the left is Danijel castle.
The castle in Konak was built by Duke Danijel Vladislav in 1884. By the main building, which was used for the owners living, there was also built smaller one for the servants and farm workers. A little bit further there are other buildings like stables. The castle is surrounded by the lovely park with rare exotic species, on a few acres.
Today in the castle there is primary school “Vuk Karadžić”. In the economical objects today there are apartments for teachers and other workers in school.
The castle and the park around are in a very good shape.
The castle and the park are the cultural monuments of the great importance.
The castle is not opened for the visitors!
