The area of Mošorin hill was always inhabited as it is situated on the very important cross-road. As the evidence of this there are many preserved relics from the prehistoric period and their culture. It was found at the same time as the Mycenae culture and was studied by our and German experts in the 20th century. By this rich foundation it is obvious that this inhabitants were very famous food producers, which they exchanged for the copper and the rocks taken from Karpati mountains, as well as for the gold and arts which were taken from Mycenae. It was documented that the foundation was from the first inhabitants- Celts with the necropolis Stubarlija. For a long time and because of the big importance the experts were examining the remains of the great Hungarian officer Atila, who unexpectedly died while he was trying to conquer Europe. He was buried, as the historical documents say, on the hill near the river which is today known as Tisa. Even today on the slopes of the hill there is active archeological foundation consisting of jars, bones, jewelry, weapons and equipment for the hair care. The oldest written documents about this area are 2 millenniums old, and the name of this village is known for more than nine centuries. On the place of Mošorin there were human villages for a very long time. On that place were the villages of Romans, Avars, Slovenians, Hungarians and Tatars. On the north slope of Titel hill was found the antic village with some ceramic fragments, which was the right sign thre is the archeological locality , which is very often in Mošorin area. On the assumptions, at the end it was confirmed that are parts of the antic village Sarmata, who lived in this area in the Roman period, and it can exist since the period of the third and fifth century AD. There were found two houses with the fireplaces and ceramic remains, and there also was found a femur which belonged to the man of athletic body. This shows that there was ruined more than one grave.
