The reserve is located in Vojvodina, in western Bačka, north of the town Bačka Palanka. The habitat itself is located on the right side of the road Bačka Palanka-Odžaci.
The protected area of the Special Nature Reserve “Bagremara” establishes the regime of I and II level of protection. Of the total protected area of 117.58 ha, the established mode areas are: protection of the first degree is 34.8 hectares, which is 29.6% of the total protected area; Protection Level II is 82.78 hectares, which is 70.4% of the total protected area.
Although the Forest “Bagremara” today is represented by a culture of Acacia, typical and specific values of the original indigenous lowland mixed Oak forests with the unique Hellebore plant found in Serbia are preserved in it.
The chief value of reserve represents finding of Eranthis hyemalis which impresses with its appearance during February and March. At that time, the plant is in its full development. It was found in the culture of acacia in a great number of separated groups.
The recorded species in the ground floor of BAGREMAR are typical representatives of oak forests, which primarily confirm that it is a forest habitat.
The Reserve is managed by the Public company Vojvodinašume. We offer several different scientific and recreational facilities.
