This holy building was erected two centuries ago thanks to the financial means of believers and the owner of a large Šandor Sečenji. Greater outside restoration works were done in 1871 and the inside of the church was restored six years later. The paintings and the altar have been restored as well as the church which was restored in Baroque and Rococo style. The new bells in the church were got in 1925. After 1947 a painter from Novi Sad Pal Ruzicka restored the church paintings in 1957 and instead of the old one, the new church tower was erected with the new plated cross.
