Near Sonta, in a rural marsh, not far from the last trace of civilization, hidden between the forests and fields lies Farm Jaksic. In 1930.the first settlement was built where the herdsmen from village came to rest in the course of their working day. First real house was built in 1952 and became the home of people who settled in his part of the countryside.
In 2008 Farm Jaksichas passed into the ownership of Emil Jaksic who continued the tradition of the natives, passing on their tradition and culture. Inkeeper Emil, a passionate hunter, fell in love with the landscape and decided to share his love for nature and simple life.
Inspired by the tradition and culture of the people who have enjoyed the beauty of this area, he built a farm using a technique over a hundred years old. All objects are built of reeds and mud, to retrieve the clock back a few decades and a refresh your spirit and body. The authentic garden with outbuildings for domestic animals with small bosquetswill give you pleasure to remember.
Surrounded by trees, Farm Jaksic and his guests enjoy the fresh air filled with the chirping of birds, who are regular guests of his various treetops. An ideal place for lovers of pure nature and healthy living, bird-watchers and those who are carving for inspiration.
Walk through fieldsand encounter wild animals that also enjoys the beauty of this unspoiled landscape. Maybe if you are lucky to see white-tailed eagles, black storks and mountain deersthat can be seen only in our marsh.
