Fishing in the municipality is provided at following locations
The Tamiš, the untamable river rich in all kinds of fish is located 30 km from Zrenjanin. The most famous places are: Despotovac, Botoš, Tomaševac, Orlovat and Farkaždin. The Old Tamiš near Despotovac, as well as the milldams in Botoš, Orlovat, Sutjeska, Tomaševac and Frakaždin are abundant with all kinds of fish.
“Tractor Bara” is located 12 km from Zrenjanin to Belgrade near the fish pond “Ečka” and it represents the most famous fishing ground being visited by anglers from all over Serbia. Bara is 2 km long horseshoe-shaped branch of Bega.
The Tisa is located 11 km from Zrenjanin, and is very rich with fish.
The Danube-Tisa-Danube Canal is rich with all kinds of fish and the most famous places are Melenci and Klečka triangle, known for its large catfish. (Melenci, Mihajlovo, Jankov Most, Klek, Lazarevo, Botoš are good places for fishing as well as the channel Brzava and milldam near Tomaševac.)
