At least thirty-two blacksmith shops functioned in the city in the forties of the twentieth century. Their activity was very diverse, they had dealt with many things, from farriery to horse carriages making. Since carriages were jointly crafted by blacksmiths and wheelwrights ( metal parts were made by blacksmiths and wooden parts by wheelwrights). The workshops were mainly divided into two parts.
