The stay at salaš (a farming household typical for the region of Vojvodina) means relaxation from an everyday stressful lifestyle. If you wish you have the possibility to get involved in some working activities that take place at salaš (fixing up the flowers, the attendance of the vegetable garden, working in the nursery garden, apple picking, brandy making, etc.) There can also be organized herb picking, grass mowing and poultry feeding. For those who are interested, there can also be organized visits to the surrounding sights and cultural-historical monuments. The nearby Tisa gives a possibility of swimming, fishing and boat riding. The education of young people about old crafts, working tools and affairs is also an important factor of this sort of tourism. Children games at salaš – leapfrog, cracking a whip, swings, rides… At salaš, there is a possibility of accommodation in 5 comfortable ethno rooms, good domestic food, natural drinks from our own cellars and fun suitable to the ambient.
The countryside-tourist household “Babin salaš“– you will easily find your way to the acacia shady oasis of salaš in Bačaka. The family household of medium size is situated in Bačka, on the arable land of Žabalj, close to the bank of Tisa River, right next to the motorway Novi Sad – Zrenjanin. A short rustic road leads you right to the entrance of the salaš and the green grass yard in which you will be greeted by the murmur, ado of dogs, cats, horses and chickens. Recently, apart from their regular work, fruit growing, nursery gardening and making excellent fruit brandies, the hosts opened their doors to tourism as well. Salaš can offer to its guests 3 double rooms, “bircuz“ (a tavern typical for the region) with 70 places, and during the summer also the possibility of servicing some additional 50 people under the treetops of acacia. On an everyday basis, guests are offered refection typical for the region of Bačka, together with brandy and coffee, and by order, all kinds of celebrations can be organized.
