Borkovac lake is located near Ruma 60 kilometers away from Belgrade, 40 from Novi Sad and 20 from Sremska Mitrovica. The lake can be reached by good, asphalt road via Ruma with clear and transparent guidelines.
This artificial reservoir is well stocked and is rich in large specimens of catfish, perch and carp. It is estimated that, thanks to regular restocking, there are about 30,000 pieces of carp. It also has Prusian carp and white fish, as well as a large grass carp and silver carp. A hidden Srem lake, Borkovac will provide real fishing experience because apart from the rich excursions content and comfortable accommodation it offers high-quality water.
Artificial Lake Borkovac was built in 1970 and covers an area of 42 hectares. It is almost two and a half kilometers long and 300 meters wide. It has a volume of about 1.6 million cubic meters of water. Summer water temperatures of the lake reach 29 degrees Celsius, which is warmer than the warmest sea and its transparency goes up to meter and a half in depth. The water has a greenish color because it is rich in plankton, which means that it is extremely clean, and the lake is rich in fish. The lake has a complex of "Akva camp" so that all anglers, nature lovers and hikers can enjoy the beauty of this mountain lake and the delights of fishing. Lake is adorned with the four cottages, of which each cottage has a bedroom, a toilet, a kitchenette and two large terraces for sunbathing and fishing. Rod holders are mounted on the lower terrace, and each object has its electric drive boat, which is used to reach the property from the coast. The water supply network uses the water from the lake and drinking water can be taken from the city tap water of the city water supply network main on the nearby beach.

The special quality of grounds is arranged coastline, with convenient access to the water. The bottom is clean, perfect for "probing" with ″dubinka″ decoy. In order to protect fish stocks in these waters fishing from a boat is not allowed. Three rods with a maximum of two hooks are used for fishing, and each fish heavier than eight kilograms must be returned to the water. This treatment will provide high-quality and healthy population of fish, to the delight of fishermen, who just have to discover this "Srem pearl".
