AquaPark PETROLAND is so far the largest built tourist – amusement attraction in Serbia. It’s also the most modern AquaPark in the Balkan area. It’s located in the municipality of Backi Petrovac, near Novi Sad, 120 km away from Belgrade and the Hungarian border and just 20 km from the Croatian border.
The investor is a private company from Slovakia that already has experience in realization of similar projects.
The swimming pools contain geothermal water, which is extracted from the soil from about 800 m at a temperature higher than 40° C. This means that the entire park can be open even during colder months. With our modern technology, we can cool down the water during the hot summer period.
The total area of the AquaPark is 20 ha. Construction is planned in three primary phases:
– the 1st phase was completed in November, 2011.
On 8ha area there are water amusement attractions with more than 20 large and small slides. Within AquaPark is also the largest children’s water castle and three towers with the water slides. Aqua Park has 6 pools and other entertainment for children and adults. Of course, there are a lot of restaurants and other services.
– the 2nd phase includes the construction of open swimming pool, car camping, new water attractions (slides).
– the 3rd phase includes the construction of accommodation facilities, fourth slide tower and several indoor pools with additional attractions, wellness spa and fitness center, apartment buildings and hotels, with a complex tourist service.
