According to statistical data of the Statistics Office of the Republic of Serbia, 177,261 tourists visited AP Vojvodina in the period from January to April 2023, a 8.8% increase year over year. In the period, the number of foreign tourist was 80,497, which is an increase of 19.8% compared to the same period in 2022.
The total number of realized overnight stays for the first four months of 2023 is 524,303 overnight stays, which is an increase of as much as 10.3% compared to the same period in in the previous year. There were 260,950 overnight stays of domestic tourists and 263,353 overnight stays foreign tourists – an increase of as much as 21.8% compared to the same period last year.
The most visited cities were Novi Sad and Subotica, while the largest increase in arrivals and overnight stays was observed in Bečej (97.7% increase in arrivals; 109.1% increase in overnight stays) and Vršac (36% increase in arrivals; 15.8% increase in overnight stays).
In the period from January to the end of April 2023, the Info Center of the Tourism Organization of Vojvodina was mostly visited by domestic tourists, and when it comes to foreign tourists, most of them come from Russia, Germany, Croatia, Spain, Hungary and Turkey.
